| At National Vision, we can offer you the various tools and support to practice Optometry at the highest of industry standards. |
| The Role of the Professional Services Group – We are here to support you as an independent or employee Optometrist. Our goal is to provide elements that allow you to focus on your patients and the quality of their eyecare. |
| Credentialing – National Vision provides full scope credentialing through our credentials verification organization. |
| Professional Liability Insurance – We can provide liability insurance resources for our independent doctors of Optometry as well as our employed doctors. Employed doctors are also given the option of having a payroll deduction of the policy premium to make premium payment seamless. |
| Managed Care Enrollment – Our Professional Services and Managed Care Sales group can assist in managed care enrollment, providing necessary payor applications and paperwork, and expediting the process. With strong managed care relationships in place, certain payors delegate credentialing to us, making the amount of paperwork necessary for the doctor to complete negligible. |
| Clinical and Industry Updates – National Vision is always on the forefront of the latest industry news, as well as receiving regular clinical updates in our ever changing field. We communicate our findings to our doctors via memos, email, internet forums and our weekly “In-Touch” phone message to allow our doctors to remain abreast of happenings within the company and within the industry. |
| Practice Management Assistance – We provide the tools to assist you in managing your independent practice. Practice profiling allows a three year picture of your practice’s growth to help you gauge areas for improvement and to show where you excel. |
| Hardware & Software Solutions - In addition, through an affiliation with OfficeMate, we can offer their practice management software at a significant discount, as well as discounted managed care billing services through Gateway/EDI. Certain discounts on computers can also be obtained through National Vision’s buying power. |
| Forums – Our O.D. Internet Forum allows our doctors to chat with their peers, present any issues they may be experiencing in their practices and reap the benefits of the combined knowledge of our large network of doctors. |
| Continuing Education – To our network of employed Optometrists, National Vision provides approximately 15 hours of COPE approved continuing education per year with excellent speakers. Most of this continuing education is provided at regional or national company meetings, where you and your peers are provided hotel accommodations, meals, and flights, if necessary. We have a great time of learning, combined with the camaraderie of a close-knit company. |
| Optometric Equipment Support – Our locations contain state of the art equipment available for the use of our Optometrists and Technicians. A support division within National Vision makes sure that each piece of equipment is functioning at optimum. Any malfunctions or repair needs are promptly reported, and help is on the way. |
| Clinical Ombudsman – Our Clinical Director is available in both an advisory and ombudsman capacity for any questions or concerns, can involve our clinical panel on any issues, and is an excellent resource for the latest research findings. |
| Peer Review Committee – Part of our devotion to quality of patient care involves an established clinical review process. Our doctors are periodically reviewed by a designated peer to ensure that proper clinical and office procedures are followed. |
| Area Doctor Oversight – A distinct advantage in our employee scenario is having an Area Doctor to go to with your questions and concerns. Our Area Doctors have been with the company for some time, are familiar with its operations and can offer advice in many avenues. They are always willing to consult with you. |
| Clinical Panel Oversight – Our clinical panel handles a broad range of research topics and work as a team to benefit our company and our doctors with their findings. Clinical Panel opportunities are available to our established doctors. |
| Supplies & Pharmaceuticals – We provide prescription pads at no cost to our doctors. Additionally, in the America’s Best locations, business cards are available at no cost. In our National Vision independent practices, doctor biographies, again at no cost, are a wonderful marketing tool to establish and grow your practice. We can also provide recall cards, another practice growth tool. Many vendors of supplies and pharmaceuticals offer discounts to any of our affiliated doctors. |
